Vision and mission

Our vision is that every person should have the opportunity to be socially involved, regardless of the conditions and circumstances in which they are.

Our mission is to search, enable accessibility and promote digital tools which improve people’s lives and form social awareness. We also work on projects that contribute to building a conscious society; a society in which there are common values and respect for everyone, regardless of their abilities.

How

We unite the IT community, civil society, doctors, artists, and media around social involvement and inclusion in Ukraine. We research the most critical needs of our target group, investigate which digital tools are used to address their needs internationally and bring those solutions to Ukraine. We also build new software to help alleviate identified problems.

What we do

- Gather knowledge of critical unfulfilled needs of our target group.

- Research existing technologies in the special needs domain.

- Enable access to worldwide technologies for people with disabilities in Ukraine.

- New software as a response to identified needs.

Challenges that we face

  1. Major shift of social focus in the country. Priority in Ukraine as of today is on military support and 2 million of Ukrainians that have lost their homes (IDPs).

  2. Increased poverty in society. Social vulnerable groups are even under bigger financial and psychological pressure.

  3. Lack of attention to the problem of our target group and even fewer opportunities. Never a priority. In times of war, not a priority at all. We lose focus on inclusion and the only way for families and people with disabilities sometimes is to flee the country or leave the child in a specialized institution (orphanage).

  4. Critically low awareness about inclusion in society. No inclusive culture: labeling and bullying.

  5. Psycho emotional burnout of our target group.

  6. Isolation. Lost potential of talented people with disabilities - because social inclusion level is so low, lack of technology accessibility, stereotypes and prejudice, we lose all the wonderful talents, potential of people with disabilities that could be fulfilled.

  7. No Ukrainian version of world known digital tools for people with disabilities. Some of the basic digital tools available for people with disabilities abroad are not available for Ukrainian users.

  8. Increasing quantity of people with disabilities. Every 6th-8th child has a disability these days yet it doesn't bring us to awareness or accessibility as a society.
